Libby Gray (formerly Giesbrecht) was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she spent most of the first four years of her career working in radio. She holds a BA in criminal justice from the University of Winnipeg and a Master of Journalism (MJ) from the University of Regina. Libby currently works as a reporter and anchor for 650 CKOM in Saskatoon.

 

Libby's work has been featured online at cjme.com, ckom.com, panow.com, ink.urjschool.ca, chvnradio.com, uniter.ca, reach.ca, SteinbachOnline.com and classic107.com. She has also been published in the Uniter, Eye Witness Magazine and World Mission Magazine. Libby completed an internship with 980 CJME and contributed an obituary to the Maclean's "They Were Loved" project ⁠— dedicated to telling the stories of lives lost during the COVID-19 pandemic ⁠— during her time as a journalism student.

She recently won her first RTDNA regional award for her feature piece "Entrer Poķwîspi (Enter Anytime): Opening the Door to a Lost Language" with 650 CKOM.

Libby has a passion for print, online and radio ⁠— covering general news, crime and the courts. She also has experience as a radio anchor and talk show producer with Rawlco Radio.
